Mike joined the Farmers Coop Feed Department in December 2008 as an outside feed salesman. After graduating from South Dakota State University with degrees in ag engineering and animal science, Mike ran a feed mill for a year and developed a relationship with Hubbard Feeds. That in turn led to him being recommended as a good fit for Farmers Coop.
Mike works primarily with beef producers and enjoys talking with livestock farmers, helping them achieve the best performance possible and trouble-shooting any problems they may have. He appreciates Farmers Coop Association because of the commitment they maintain to serving all sizes of producers and offering individual attention.
With a focus on the Kiester area, Mike puts his cattle background to work. He maintains a small cow/calf herd with his parents and does some farming as well. He lives between Pemberton and Mapleton, Minnesota. Mike is engaged and he and his fiancée, Amy, will be married when she finishes her college career. When he’s not working, Mike enjoys hunting. He has a Black Lab he enjoys training for his hobby as well.
