He’s a farmer, past board member, and now manager of the agronomy department at Farmers Coop Association. Duane Harms believes the overall atmosphere of providing excellent customer service makes a big difference.
“We all work together as a team,” he stated. “It’s fun and I enjoy what I do.” This includes working to purchase chemicals and fertilizer at the best prices available, so he can pass that along to his customers.
Helping farmers be successful is Duane’s goal. “I like to give my personal attention to each customer, to learn their needs for crop inputs, seed and anything agronomy related,” he said.
Duane has been agronomy department manager since 2000, and was seed sales manager and applicator at Farmers Coop Association prior to that. He sees the coop’s biggest advantage in its service orientation. “I want to see our coop grow and remain independent,” Duane concluded.
